Speaking German In An English Accent In My New Flat

Right now I’m in the midst of a Month Without English (which I’ll be writing about a little more when it’s done).

And, aside from being the most frustrating time time of my life, it’s actually quite fun. I mean, there’s only so far you can get saying the word ‘thing’ followed by a colour or body part. But it’s great to be creative.

Today I wanted to share with you a little bit of how my German is going and what my level is at. So, I roped Marie in to do a quick interview with my last week.

I’m by no means fluent, my grammar is all over the show and sometimes I just try and say an English word in a German accent. But, so far, so good. I’ve not died from embarrassment just yet.

Feel free to take a look below and tell me what you think! If you don’t speak German and want to understand, I’ve created subtitles in English that you can turn on with the Closed Caption button.
